Born in Caracas, Venezuela, on November 26, 1981, Oscar Eduardo Hernández Villegas, known professionally as Oscarcito and later as Yakozuki, is a Venezuelan singer, songwriter, and producer celebrated for his contributions to Latin music. His musical journey commenced in 1998 with the formation of the boy band A.5, achieving notable success and earning a Latin Grammy nomination. In 2007, he partnered with Franco Bellomo to create the duo Franco & Oscarcito, delivering hits like "Sacude La Cola" and "Ni Castillo, Ni Diamantes" before disbanding in 2010. Embarking on a solo career, Oscarcito released popular tracks such as "Tumbaye," "Tú Eres Perfecta," and "No Te Tengo A Ti." His songwriting prowess led to collaborations with international artists, penning songs like "El Anillo" for Jennifer Lopez and "Está Rico" for Marc Anthony, Will Smith, and Bad Bunny. In 2012, he signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and was honored with the prestigious OrquÃdea de Uranio award at the International Orchid Festival. The following year, he secured five Pepsi Music Venezuela awards, including Best Songwriter and Best Urban Artist. In 2020, he rebranded himself as Yakozuki, signaling a new phase in his artistic evolution. By 2022, he reunited with Franco for the track "Halloween" on Ozuna's album Ozutochi. In 2023, he released the single "Polvo," continuing to showcase his dynamic presence in the Latin music scene.
