Okan is a Canadian Afro-Cuban jazz group, consisting of core members Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne. Both musicians are Cuban Canadians who previously performed with Jane Bunnett's band Maqueque before forming Okan. Their initial release was the extended play Laberinto in 2018, followed by their debut album Sombras in 2019. The group gained significant recognition with their second album, Espiral, released in 2020, which won the Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2021. Their subsequent album, Okantomi (2023), also won the same award at the Juno Awards of 2024. Okan has collaborated with various artists, including Rauzzy Ferrer and Boogát, and released notable singles such as "Luz" (2018) and "Mas Que Nada" (2019).
