Nowhere Boys is a fiveâpiece Hong Kong popârock group formed in 2015 by vocalist/guitarist Van Chan, drummer Nate Wong, guitarist Kenneth Angus, keyboardist/violinist Fisher Kan, and bassist Hansun Chan. The band began after Van Chan, an architect, met Nate Wong, a Berkleeâeducated drummer, at a movieâmusic event in October 2014; they later recruited Kenneth Angus, Fisher Kan, and Hansun Chan. Their selfâfinanced debut EP Nowhere Boys was released in July 2015, sold 1,000 copies in three months, and reached the iTunes Top Ten; the group signed with Frenzi Music later that year. In April 2016 they issued the second EP Welcome to Our Hyperreality, supported by a HK$100,000 crowdfunding campaign, and released the single "æ®éè¯" featuring Neo Yau HawkâSau, which peaked at Number Seven on the Hong Kong Commercial Radio chart. Subsequent EPs Journey to Nowhere (2019) and Destination Nowhere (2020) added singles such as "天å¤é£ä»" (2017) and "æå¾çææ»" (2020).
