Biography

Nova Nova, a French electronic music group from Rennes, was formed in 1992 by Michel Gravil and Marc Durif. The duo gained initial recognition when they were discovered by Jean-Louis Brossard, the organizer of the Transmusicales festival, who booked them for his event in 1993. This performance led to a signing with F Communications, resulting in their debut EP, Metaphysic?, released in June 1994. The group's unique approach, blending ancient musical harmony with electronic music, garnered critical acclaim from international press outlets such as NME and Mixmag. Their second album, La Chanson de Roland, was released in 1999. Following the release of their third album, Memories, in 2004, Durif continued to create under the Nova Nova name, releasing several EPs, including "Low Ends" featuring Peter Hook in 2013. Their fourth studio album, Néoclassic, was released in 2017.
