Biography
The North Carolina musician, actress and radio personality Noah Wall is responsible for leading a new wave of bluegrass from her adopted home of Nashville,Tennessee. Her award-winning band The Barefoot Movement have toured extensively both at home in the US and on the international circuit. The band serves as a vehicle for Wall's songwriting skills and is frequently featured in leading music industry publications such as 'Rolling Stone', 'Country Weekly Magazine' and Billboard.com. In 2014 The Barefoot Movement were recognised with a Momentum Award for Band of the Year by the influential International Bluegrass Music Association.
In tandem with her activities with the band Wall also has a solo career recording and performing for Chesky Records. She initially recorded on the label as part of the collaborative folk album 'From the Mountaintop' and was then encouraged to record a solo album titled 'Home Down Blues' which was released in 2016.
