Nanna Lüders Jensen, known mononymously as Nanna, was born in 1963 in Denmark. She began her music career at age 18 with the single "Om lidt så lægger jeg dig ned" in 1982. Her breakthrough came in 1984 with the hit single "Buster", which served as the theme song for Bille August's children's television series and movie Busters verden. Nanna released her debut album Nanna in 1983, followed by Små, blå breve in 1984. In 1985, she won a competition organized by the Danish Red Cross to write "Afrika", which featured major Danish artists and raised over 3 million DKK for famine relief. Nanna has collaborated with various groups, including Poul Krebs & The Bookhouse Boys, Hobo-Ekspressen, and Sweet Intentions.
