Negazione, an Italian hardcore punk band from Turin, was formed in 1983 by Roberto "Tax" Farano (guitar), Orlando Furioso (drums), Guido "Zazzo" Sassola (vocals), and Marco Mathieu (bass). The group gained early traction with the split album Mucchio selvaggio with Declino. Their international tours began in 1984, taking them through Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Notable releases include the EPs Tutti pazzi (1985) and Nightmare (1987), as well as Lo spirito continua... (1986), which received critical acclaim and was later included in Rolling Stone Italy's list of "100 Best Italian Albums" in 2012. Negazione continued to tour extensively, including a U.S. tour with D.O.A., before disbanding in 1992 due to internal conflicts. Their final album, 100%, was released that year. Later, the band self-released several compilations and live albums, including Live in Birmingham and Live in Paris, both in 2018.
