NECRONOMIDOL, a Japanese idol heavy metal group formed in 2014 in Tokyo. The group's name is derived from the Necronomicon and combines elements of necromancy, magic, and idol. Their music primarily blends black metal, dark wave, and NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal). Their debut single "éºéª¨çå¹éª" was released in June 2014, followed by their first concert at Muryoku Muzenji in Tokyo. The group underwent several lineup changes before releasing their debut album Nemesis in 2016. NECRONOMIDOL gained international recognition with tours in Taiwan (September 2015), New Caledonia (March 2016), Thailand (March 2017), France (July 2017), and the United States (December 2017). Subsequent albums include Deathless (2017) and Voidhymn (2018).
