Biography
Nazxul, an Australian black metal band, was formed in 1993 by Adrian Henderson, Lachlan Mitchell, Steve Hughes, and Dalibor Backovic. They released their self-titled demo album through Vampire Records in 1994, followed by Totem the next year. In 1998, after lineup changes, Nazxul released the EP Black Seed and played their first live show. A live album titled Live was released in 2002. The band regrouped in 2004 with a new lineup but became dormant again shortly after. Nazxul reformed in 2008 to support Mayhem's Australian tour, which was later canceled. Their studio album, Iconoclast, was released in 2009 by Eisenwald Records following the death of guitarist Greg Morelli. The band toured internationally and released their third album, Irkalla, in 2021.
