Buhr, born Karina Buhr on May 20, 1974, in Salvador, Brazil, is a singer-songwriter and actress. She started her musical career as a percussionist with traditional maracatu groups and co-founded the band Comadre Florzinha in 1997. Buhr began her solo career in 2010 with the album Eu menti pra você, winning the Prêmio APCA for Best New Artist. Her second album, Longe de Onde (2011), was featured in Rolling Stone Brasil's list of best albums of the year and led to performances at Rock in Rio and Roskilde Festival. In 2014, she toured Europe. She reunited with Comadre Florzinha members for shows in 2018 and released the album Desmanche in 2019. As an actress, she participated in stage plays and made her film debut in Meu Nome é Bagdá.
