Nana Adjoa, a Dutch-Ghanaian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, grew up in Bussum, Netherlands, and began playing guitar and writing songs at a young age. After participating in various musical projects, she studied bass at Amsterdam's Jazz Conservatorium. While performing as a bassist for prominent Dutch acts, she honed her own material and gained recognition as runner-up in the prestigious Grote Prijs van Nederland talent contest. Known for blending soulful tones with indie pop and trip-hop influences, she released her debut EP, Down at The Root (Part 1), in November 2017, marking her emergence as an artist with poetic, introspective songs.
