Biography

Mustered Courage was an Australian bluegrass band formed in Melbourne in 2010. They signed to Laughing Outlaw Records and released their self-titled debut album in 2011, winning the MusicOz Trophy for Country at the 2012 Australian Independent Music Awards. Their second album, Powerlines, was produced by ARIA Award-winning producer Jimi Maroudas and released in May 2013. The band performed at the Americana Music Festival & Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, in September 2013, leading to a US tour and signing with American management. Their third album, White Lies & Melodies, was released in August 2015 under Lost Highway Records Australia and received nominations for ARIA Best Country Album of 2015 and three Golden Guitar Awards at the 44th CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia in 2016. The band's fourth studio album, We Played with Fire, was independently released in September 2018. Mustered Courage last performed together in 2019.
