Modjo are a French dance music duo who had a massive hit in 2000 with 'Lady (Hear Me Tonight)' which continues to be a club classic to this day.
Formed of Yann Destagnol and Romain Tranchart, the duo joined forces in 1998 combining their love of different genres with their mutual appreciation of dance music. It took two years for 'Lady (Hear Me Tonight)' to be fully appreciated but is now unmistakable with its catchy chorus and Daft Punk-inspired sample. The track reached number one across Europe, including in the UK.
After a string of other singles, including 'Chillin'' and 'What I Mean', they released their self-titled debut album in September 2001.
The collaboration was short-lived, however, as the duo disbanded in 2002 and returned to their respective solo careers.
