MieczysÅaw Fogiel, known professionally as MieczysÅaw Fogg, was born on May 30, 1901, in Warsaw. Fogg was known as a Polish singer. He began his music career as a choir member at St. Anne's Church before joining WÅadysÅaw DaniÅowski Danâs newly formed choir in 1928. The choir gained international fame with hits like "Tango Milonga" by Jerzy Petersburski, propelling Fogg to prominence. Under the pseudonym Fogg, he toured extensively across Europe and the United States from 1932 onwards. After World War II, during which he gave concerts for Polish resistance fighters, Fogg performed as a solo artist. He was named Polandâs most popular singer by Polish Radio in 1938 and 1958. Throughout his six-decade career, Fogg performed over 16,000 concerts worldwide. He passed away on September 3, 1990, in Warsaw.
