Mehrdad Asemani, born Mehrdad Akhavan on July 15, 1967, in Tehran, Iran, is a singer and composer residing in Los Angeles. He learned music and singing techniques from masters in Iran during his school years. In 1992, Asemani moved to Los Angeles and released his debut album The Voice of the Sun in 1994, gaining fame within the Persian community, followed by his second album Night Skin in 1995. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Googoosh and Shohreh Solati. Other notable albums include Aroosak (1999), Barge Gol (Petal) (2000), Ghazal (2002), Test of Dreams (2010) and Range Eshgh (2018).
