Biography
MegaDriver is a Brazilian video game music band formed in 2003 by guitarist António F. Tornisiello, also known as Nino, in Sãoâ¯Paulo, Brazil. It began as a project dedicated to reinterpreting classic videoâgame music in a heavyâmetal style. The groupâs early work included the Push Start Button album and the single "Metal for Gamers" (2011), which established their niche within the emerging âgameâmetalâ scene. Over the next decade, they released a steady stream of albums, such as Action Metal (2005), Metalhog (2008), ROAR Live in MAGFest (2014), and Rise from Your Grave (2016). The bandâs participation in events such as the 12th MAGFest in Maryland in 2014 and their continued online distribution solidified their reputation as pioneers of Brazilian videoâgame heavy metal.
