Medium Medium was an English post-punk band from Nottingham, formed in 1978. The band emerged from the local punk and rhythm & blues scene with their first single, "Them Or Me", released in 1979. In 1981, they released "Hungry, So Angry", which reached number 48 on the Billboard Disco chart and introduced slap bass to a broader audience. Their debut album, The Glitterhouse, was also released that year, featuring stripped-down dub rhythms and funk guitar. The band underwent several lineup changes, including the departure of lead singer John Rees Lewis in early 1982. Despite touring extensively, Medium Medium disbanded in late 1983. They reformed in 2004 for live performances and released a split-LP with Kommissar Hjuler in 2010 and 2011. The Glitterhouse was reissued in an expanded triple vinyl edition in 2017 by Optic Nerve Recordings.
