MCâ¯Lekão, born Gabriel Freitas in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, and currently based in São Paulo, began his career in Brazilâs vibrant funk and rap scene, first gaining attention through early collaborations like âCovardiaâ with MC Emely in 2012. Over the years, he carved a niche blending funk, rap, and phonk, gradually building a presence through both solo work and joint projects. In 2025, he participated in the recording of a series of singles that expanded his audience, including âDepois do gin de 10,â âToma Aqui Dedo Pra Tu,â and âFica de Quatão â Ultra Slowed.â These tracks gained traction on streaming platforms and social media, with his rhythmic style and production choices resonating with fans of Brazilian funk. A standout moment came with âTipo Nino Vs Kabrinha,â a viral collaboration with DJ Biel Divulga and DJ Dozabri that further established his sound. He continued the streak later that year with songs like âTropa do Cbâ and âJoga o cabelo.â
