Akinmayokun Awodumila, known professionally as May D, was born on December 28, 1984, in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a singer who rose to prominence after being signed to Square Records, the label of R&B duo P-Square. In 2011, May D released his debut single "Soundtrack" under Square Records, which gained significant attention with its music video directed by Clarence Peters. However, in August 2012, it was announced that May D had parted ways with Square Records. Following this, he founded Confam Entertainment and later signed with Davido Music Worldwide in July 2020. His notable releases include the albums Chapter One (2013) and SUPERBOY (2021).
