Biography

Mark 'Oh, born Marko Albrecht on June 23, 1970 in Dorsten, is a German music producer and DJ in the field of electronic dance music, especially dance, hard trance, Eurodance and happy hardcore. He completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic and founded the hard rock band Line Up in 1986, which he led until 1989. In the same year, he turned his attention to the emerging techno scene and from then on performed as a DJ in West Germany. Mark 'Oh experienced his first breakthrough in 1993 with "Randy (Never Stop That Feeling)", which became famous thanks to a WestBam remix and a Mayday performance. This was followed in 1994 by the single "Love Song", an anthem of the Love Parade, which achieved gold and platinum status. At the end of 1994, the number 1 hit "Tears Don't Lie" (cover song of Michael Holm's "Tränen lügen nicht") is released, which tops the charts in Germany, Austria and Sweden and becomes his trademark. In 1995, he released the debut album Never Stop That Feeling, which reached number 2 in the German album charts. The album Magic Power followed in 1997 with further EDM hits. In 1999, he contributed to Team Telekom's official Tour de France song with the single The Team on Tour feat. He also produces and releases further albums such as Rebirth (1999) together with John Davies, which goes gold and shows his stylistic versatility. Mark 'Oh remains active as a DJ, performing regularly at festivals such as Loveparade, Mayday and Sunshine Live Retroactive. He continues to release albums and singles until 2009, releasing the collaboration "That Feeling" with Corinna Jane in 2018, and continues to tour clubs live. Jury awards include the Bravo Otto - Silver 1994 ("Rap & Techno") and Bronze 1995 ("Best Singer") as well as the Echo Pop 1996 for "Artist National".
