Biography

Maria Teresa de Noronha was a Portuguese fado singer. Noronha began a career in 1938 with a biweekly program on Emissora Nacional. Records include the single âO Fado dos cinco estilosâ (1939) and albums released between 1959 and 1972. Noronha performed internationally in Monaco and London. Public appearances ended in 1976 after a performance at the fado house Picadeiro. Noronha died on July 4, 1993.
