Biography

A self-taught guitarist born in 1957, Marc Ducret is one of the finest exponents of French avant-garde jazz. His collaborations with saxophonist Tim Berne on a dozen albums, including Bloodcount (1995) and Big Satan (2004), are landmark achievements. This inventive, inquisitive musician is also the author of some fifteen albums as a leader for Label Bleu, Winter & Winter, Screwgun and Ayler Records for the four volumes in the Tower series (2011).
