Biography

French composer Marc Dall’Anese, born into a family of Venetian musicians, embarked on his musical journey at age 5, entering the conservatory to study piano and classical percussions. Influenced by jazz legends like Count Basie and Herbie Hancock, Dall’Anese formed his group, Mixed Blood, at just 15. Initially working behind the scenes for renowned French artists like Sylvie Vartan, he transitioned to the stage, creating his own path. In 1980, a pivotal year, Dall’Anese toured Japan, joined orchestras led by Raymond Lefèvre and Paul Mauriat, and released his debut solo album. Specializing as a studio drummer, producer, and sound engineer for French stars, he contributed arrangements for artists such as Jane Birkin and Rita Mitsouko. His composer's spirit led him to delve into the works of classical greats like Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky. Recent years saw him composing for AXS Music, engaging in sound design for various media in France, and orchestrating Luc Besson's Arthur and Minimoys. Currently, Dall’Anese serves as an additional composer for Hollywood productions, showcasing his versatile talent across diverse musical landscapes.
