Biography
Formed in 2017, the Japanese hipâhop group Mall Boyz emerged from a chance meeting between Tohji, a Musashino Art University student, and gummyboy at the campusâs activity hub. Their shared musical taste sparked the groupâs creation, and early collaboration with SoundCloud artist stei helped refine their sound. Mall Boyz debuted with the EP Mall Tape on 26â¯Decemberâ¯2018, followed by the single âPool Sideâ on 18â¯Augustâ¯2021. In 2023 they released the singles âMango Runâ (24â¯May) and âMy Lifeâ (7â¯June). The album series, Mall Tapeâ¯2, was released on July 5, 2023, and Mall Tape 3 was released on June 10, 2026.
