Mc Lele JP is the stage name of São Paulo singer and rapper Alessandro Venâncio da Silva, who has risen from humble beginnings in the Jardim Peri favela to become one of the most influential voices in Brazil's conscious funk movement. Starting his musical journey at just 12, he blended his passion for funk with themes of faith, resilience, and the challenges of life in the favelas. His breakout came after a video caught the attention of a producer, leading to an explosive career that boasts over half a billion views, 4.5 million monthly listeners, and viral hits like "Kawe & Lele JP â MDS," "Tiger Preta," and "Vou Parar de Tomar Gin 2." Known for his lyrical focus on overcoming adversity and empowering his community, Mc Lele JP balanced personal responsibilities, including fatherhood, with his flourishing career. Over the following years, hits such as "Moletom" (2020), "Tudo à Fase" (2022), and "História de um Quebrada" (2023) showcased his evolving sound, cementing his status as a driving force in modern Brazilian funk. In 2023, he dropped the EP Filho da Promessa, which featured contributions from Dj GM, Mc Tuto, Oldilla, MC Neguinho do Kaxeta, and MC Leozinho ZS. Later that year, Mc Lele JP stayed active through multi-artist funk releases, including âSET DO JAPA NK 2.0â with DJ Japa NK, MC Ryan SP, MC Meno K, Mc IG, MC LUUKY, Mc Jacaré, MC Rodrigo do CN, MC GH do 7, MC Jvila and Oruam, as well as âME POSTOU NO DAILY - FESTA DO BIG Gâ. In 2026, he extended that run with collaborations such as âCarnÃvoroâ with Mc Jacaré, Mc Negão Original and DJ Japa NK, âFamoso Ãmã | O poderoso chatãoâ with MC Poze do Rodo, MC Leozinho ZS and DJ Gordinho da VF, and âMente Barulhentaâ with Mc IG, DJ Oreia and DJ Noiskita. In April 2026, he released the 17-track album O PODEROSO CHATÃO through Gringos World Produtora, including songs such as âPerfil do Mohamedâ, âTropa do 77â, âRua Sem Saidaâ, âLigação Anônimaâ, âPensando Bemâ, âSupera Seu Passadoâ and âCombustÃvel Da Féâ.
