Biography

Llwyd (real name Kim Ki-beom) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, composer, and lyricist known for his emotive and atmospheric music. His stage name, Llwyd, originates from the Welsh language and means "gray," symbolizing his preference for neutral tones and the introspective nature of his music. He first debuted in 2016 as the vocalist of the band The Laz with the single "Forget About". In 2019, he embarked on a solo career under the name Llwyd, releasing his debut single "Erase", a heartfelt K-ballad. In 2021, he co-founded Huam Records and released "Stay", becoming the label's sole artist. Llwyd's music blends elements of contemporary R&B, indie pop, and ballads, characterized by soothing melodies and deeply personal lyrics. His 2022 EP Luminous showcased his ability to merge indie and electronic influences, further expanding his musical identity. Notable singles such as "gr8" (2022), "Water"(2022), and "dryflower"(2022) reflect his signature melancholic yet warm sound. Continuing to evolve as an artist, Llwyd welcomed 2025 with his latest single, "New Year", a reflective contemporary R&B track.
