Biography
Palmera are a Spanish pop-rock and rock and roll band formed in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1976. The founding members were Dany Pacheco, Tomás Pacheco, Oscar Santana, and Carlos Real. The ensemble originally performed as El Eructo del Bisonte before changing their name in 1980. In 1978, the group released the studio album El Eructo del bisonte. Following the name change, the band released the albums Palmera (1981) and Las Llaves de la moto (1982). The latter recording included the song âLas Llaves de la motoâ. The ensemble became inactive in 1982 and resumed activity on two occasions during the 1990s. Dany Pacheco subsequently released the solo album Vuelve el hombre mosca in 1990, and Tomás Pacheco worked as a record producer. Santana subsequently performed with the group Los Celebros. Carlos Real served as the ensemble's original drummer.
