Lidia Borda, born on April 18, 1966, in San MartÃn, Argentina, is a singer known for her contributions to tango music. She began studying singing during her adolescence and initially explored various musical genres before dedicating herself exclusively to tango in 1995. Her first album, Entre sueños, was released in 1996 under the label La Placita, with arrangements and musical direction by her brothers Luis and Krichi. Borda's career includes notable influences from artists such as Luis Cardei and performances at prestigious festivals worldwide, including the Festival de Otoño in Portugal and the Grec Festival in Spain. She has received several awards, including the Diploma al Mérito from the Fundación Konex in 2005 and 2015. Borda was declared Ciudadana Ilustre of Buenos Aires in 2019. Her discography includes albums such as Ramito de Cedrón (2008) and Canciones de Atahualpa Yupanqui (2014).
