Left Spine Down, a Canadian cyberpunk band from Vancouver, British Columbia, was formed in 2001 by Matt Girvan, Frank Valoczy, and Kaine Delay. The group self-released their debut EP Smartbomb in June 2007, produced by Chris Peterson of Front Line Assembly/Noise Unit. Their first full-length album, Fighting for Voltage, was released in April 2008 via Synthetic Sounds in Canada and later in the US through Bit Riot Records. In May 2011, Left Spine Down signed with Metropolis Records and released their second full-length album Caution on August 23, 2011. The band toured extensively across North America opening for acts such as Front Line Assembly and DOA. After a hiatus in 2012, the band returned with a new lineup in April 2018. Jeremy Inkel, who had left the band in 2016, passed away in January 2018. The band released The Fall in 2021 under Re:Mission Entertainment.
