Claude Lauzzana, known professionally as Lauzzana, is a Swiss singer born in Lausanne. He began his musical journey at age seven as a soloist in the choir of the Basilique Notre-Dame du Valentin under Michel Corboz's direction and graduated from the Lausanne Conservatory of Music and the Swiss Jazz School in Berne. Lauzzana released his debut vinyl, Extra Muros, in 1972. He created three musical and theatrical works: LâOpéra gouffre, Fost folize, and Equivox. In 1980, he contributed backing vocals to Catherine Lara's album Nuit Magique. Lauzzana collaborated with various artists including Michel Jonasz, Catherine Lara, Maurane, Véronique Sanson, Duran Duran, Richard Cocciante, The Prophet, and Diane Tell. He also performed at the re-election of François Mitterrand in 1987. Lauzzana released several albums including Between You And Me (1992) and Girasol (2009).
