Lari Basilio, a Brazilian guitarist, songwriter, and producer, has emerged as a leading figure in instrumental rock, celebrated for her melodic sensibility and technical prowess. Born on June 23, 1988, in São Paulo, she began studying organ at age four and transitioned to guitar at eight under her father's guidance. After earning a law degree and briefly practicing law, she fully committed to her musical career, releasing her self-titled debut EP in 2012, featuring bassist Felipe Andreoli and produced by Latin Grammy winner Lampadinha. Her 2015 live album and DVD, The Sound of My Room, showcased her compositional skills and was premiered at Cine Belas Artes in São Paulo. In 2019, she released Far More, recorded at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles with renowned musicians Vinnie Colaiuta, Nathan East, and Greg Phillinganes, and featuring guest appearances by Joe Satriani on "Glimpse of Light" and Siedah Garrett on "Man in the Mirror." Her 2022 album, Your Love, continued this trend, recorded at United Recording Studios with Colaiuta, bassists Leland Sklar and Sean Hurley, and keyboardist Ester Na. In May 2025, Lari Basilio released Redemption, an album reflecting personal experiences of loss and renewal, featuring tracks like "New Chapter," "Heartbeat," and "Forever," and recorded at EastWest Studios with Colaiuta, Sklar, Hurley, and Mari Jacintho.
