Biography
Mariana Yegros aka La Yegros, born in Buenos Aires, is an Argentinian singer and rapper involved in the songwriting revival. Her credo is to blend Latin rhythms, traditional Latin American music (notably cumbia) and electro. Influenced by Björk, she was signed by ZZK Records and worked with producer King Coya. From these sessions comes the track "Viene de Mi ", compiled in 2012 on Future Sounds of Buenos Aires. The song attracted a great deal of attention and was released with several remixes in January 2013, before the release of her debut album Viene de Mi in June. The woman dubbed the "First Lady of Cumbia" continued the adventure on the Soundway Records label for her second album Magnetismo, released in 2016.
