Biography

Popstars, the first reality TV show devoted to music, consecrated L5 in 2001. Audiences watched for weeks as seemingly ordinary girls were transformed into singing stars. It is precisely this freshness and simplicity of the girls in the group that will keep L5 going. The initial success of the single "Toutes les femmes de ta vie" was followed by the album L5, and an obligatory tour. Released in 2002, Retiens-moi also achieved more than respectable sales. Having become highly professional, the L5 girls then released Le Live (2004) on CD and DVD. Turbulences (2005), on the other hand, was a flop, and the four of them reunited to promote their Best of in 2006. The group then split up, with only Louisy Joseph continuing her singing career.
