Kym Sims, born on 23 August 1966 in Chicago, is an American singer and songwriter associated most with dance music. She began her career as an advertising jingle singer before transitioning into the dance music market. Her breakthrough came with the release of "Too Blind to See It" in 1991, produced by Steve "Silk" Hurley. The single enjoyed significant success in the UK, spending 12 weeks on the UK Singles Chart and peaking at number five. This led to her debut album Too Blind to See It, which reached number 39 on the UK Albums Chart. Following this, she released several other singles, including "Take My Advice" (UK number 13) and "A Little Bit More". In 1995, she released "I Must Be Free", followed by "We Gotta Love" in 1996. She continued to release music intermittently, with notable tracks like "One of Those Nights" in 2014 and "Turn It Up" in 2017, which reached number six on the Billboard Dance Charts. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with various producers, including Maurice Joshua and Steve "Silk" Hurley. She also co-wrote CeCe Peniston's hit "Keep On Walkin'". In 2019, she appeared on the "What I Feel For You" single with Michel de Hey and Steve "Silk" Hurley.
