Jin Sha (born on March 14, 1981 in Shanghai, China) (known as Kym) is a Chinese singer and actress. Her career in the entertainment industry began in 2003, where she played Lan Fei Lin in Sky (Chinese television drama) and appearing in Singaporean singer A-doâs music video âGoing Forwardâ in 2004. Releasing her debut album Air in 2005, which sold over 200,000 copies, her popularity rose due with smash hit âThe Summer That Wind Took Awayâ, a collaboration with Singaporean singer/songwriter JJ Lin, who she continued to perform with throughout her career. Kymâs second and third studio albums Unbelievable (2006) and New Season (2oo7) were well received throughout both China and Taiwan. Returning to her acting roots in 2008, Kym starred in television dramas âThe Tears of Happinessâ and âLittle Romance in the Big Cityâ, singing the opening themes for both, followed by a lead role in Jackie-Chan series âThe Mythâ (2009). Releasing EP This Love in the same year, Kym began writing her next album Legends (2010) where she was credited as both lyricist and composer, following this with He Doesnât Love Me in February, 2012 and EP Iâll Wait for You to Say That You Love Me in July. Focusing on her acting career for the next 7 years, Kym returned with self-titled album Jin Sha in 2020.
