Kuill, born Curtis Thewlis, is a singer-songwriter from Leeds, England, who gained national attention as a contestant on the 2024 series of The Voice UK. Performing under the stage name Kuill, he delivered a captivating rendition of "Don't Give Up" by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush during the Blind Auditions, which led to his selection by coach Sir Tom Jones. Prior to his appearance on The Voice UK, Kuill was part of the group Five to Five, who won the BBC talent show Let It Shine in 2017. The group starred in the stage musical The Band, featuring the music of Take That, and toured extensively for over two years. Following this period, Kuill took a break from performing to focus on his own music, leading to the release of his debut album Changing Faces in 2022, which blends electro-soul and alternative influences. In September 2024, Kuill released the single "Everything and Nothing," showcasing his storytelling prowess and distinctive vocal style. He dropped his sophomore album, Fragile Creatures, in November 2024, which explores the delicate nature of human experiences.
