Biography

Kingo Hamada, born on January 17, 1953 in Japan, is a singer-songwriter. He began his career as a member of the folk group Craft before embarking on a solo journey. His debut album Manhattan in the Rain was released in January 1980 under Air Records. Hamada continued with albums such as Gentle Travelin’ (February 1981) and Midnight Crusin' (October 1982), which featured the track "Machi no Dorufin". This song gained significant attention in 2017 when it was sampled by Engelwood for their track "Crystal Dolphin", becoming an internet meme. Hamada's discography includes notable releases like Heart Cocktail (1985) and Fall in Love (1985).
