Biography

Kinderen Voor Kinderen is a charitable children's choir created by Dutch broadcasting network BNNVARA to help children in need across the world. Unlike other similar endeavors, Kinderen Voor Kinderen is known to feature creative input from the children involved, which is later turned into songs by a team of seasoned songwriters. Ever since its inception in 1980, the project has released over 40 albums, many of which have reached the top of the charts in the Netherlands. Some of their biggest hits include "Ik heb zo waanzinnig gedroomd" (1981), "Meidengroep" (1983), "Eeuwige kerst" (1984), "Hallo wereld" (2012), and "Bewegen is gezond" (2013). Additionally, several children who participated in the project went on to enjoy great popularity as solo artists in the latter years, including Iason Chronis, Elise van der Horst, Marjon Keller, and Stefania Liberakakis. In 2022, the single "Gi-ga-groen" from their 43rd album peaked at Number 26 on the Top 40 Tipparade chart.
