Born on 31 December 1991 in Seoul, Kim Sung-cheol (Korean: ê¹ì±ì² ) is a South Korean musical-favouring actor who found fame in stage musicals before graduating to the small screen for his debut role as Jailbird in 2017's drama series Prison Playbook. He was part of the cast recording for the Musical Mr. Mouse soundtrack in 2017 and the To. Jenny soundtrackâparts 1 and 2âin 2018, with "Tiramisu Cake" a notable highlight. In 2019, he made a name for himself in the South Korean action-war film The Battle of Jangsari, and the following year in the TV series Do You Like Brahms?âfor which he earned a nomination for Best New Actor at the 2020 SBS Drama Awardsâas well as 2021's Our Beloved Summer, among other works. In 2022, he made his return to musicals as L in the Korean production of Death Note.
