Biography

Reimer H. Eising, known professionally as Kettel, was born on August 19, 1982, in Friesland, Netherlands. Kettel is a Dutch DJ and producer of electronic dance music. Kettel began taking piano lessons at age five and later became influenced by electronic acts like Autechre and Mouse on Mars. In 2001, Kettel started releasing music while also performing internationally as a DJ. Remix work included collaborations with Depeche Mode and Dash Berlin. Kettel created soundtracks for TV commercials for brands such as Audi, Shiseido, and Sharp, and composed the soundtrack for the puzzle-platformer Ibb & Obb (2013). Kettel's discography included albums like Dreim (2001), Cenny Crush (2002), Smiling Little Cow (2002), Through Friendly Waters (2005), and My Dogan (2006).
