Kenneth "Kenny" Nolan, born on 30 September 1949 in Los Angeles, was an American pop and adult contemporary singer-songwriter. After briefly studying music composition at the University of Southern California, he began sending songs to various musicians, catching the attention of veteran songwriter Bob Crewe and entrepreneur Wes Farrell. His career took off when he co-wrote several hits with Bob Crewe, including Frankie Valli's "My Eyes Adored You" and Labelle's "Lady Marmalade", both reaching number one on Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 Chart in March of 1975. He also wrote "Swing Your Daddy" for Jim Gilstrap, which reached number four in the UK Singles Chart and number 10 on the American Billboard Black Music chart of that year. In 1976, he released his own version of "I Like Dreamin'", which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and number four on the Easy Listening chart. He followed this with the top 20 hit "Love's Grown Deep" from his self-titled album in 1977. He went on to release further records, including Night Miracles and Head to Toe. In 2025, he released his first new single in over 40 years, "Closer (Than My Shadow)".
