Biography
Kalipsxau, whose real name is Laura, is a singer from Saint-Leu, in the west of Reunion Island. She made a name for herself in 2021 with her first single"Corps à corps", with its zouk sounds, which met with notable success, going gold in 2024. Her musical style is a blend of zouk and kizomba, with a soft, suave voice. Kalipsxau followed this up with the track"Solo", which also enjoyed wide distribution. In 2022, she collaborated with Guadeloupean artist Were-Vana on the track"Sans parler", reinforcing her reputation in French-speaking regions, and the same year she toured Martinique, where she was warmly welcomed by local audiences. On June 21, 2023, on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, Kalipsxau released her first album, Corps à corps, featuring such chart-toppers as"Monalisa","Kalipsxau" and"Dis-moi je t'aime", each of which racked up several million listens.
