Jump 'n the Saddle Band was an American Western swing band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1983, the group initially gained regional attention with their novelty song "The Curly Shuffle", a tribute to Curly Howard of The Three Stooges. Released on the Acme label, the track's popularity led to a signing with Atlantic Records and the release of their self-titled debut album Jump 'n the Saddle Band in 1984. "The Curly Shuffle" eventually became a major hit, peaking at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching number 30 in Australia. The song's success was bolstered by a music video featuring clips from The Three Stooges. Despite negotiations for a follow-up album, Atlantic Records dropped the band after they recorded "Shaving Cream" with lyrics critical of the label. Jump 'n the Saddle Band continued to perform in the Chicago area into the 2000s but never regained nationwide exposure.
