Juana Fe, a Chilean musical group originating from Santiago, was formed in 2004. The band emerged from the suburbs of Santiago and quickly gained traction by blending popular Latin American rhythms such as salsa and cumbia with Jamaican ska and rumba. Their debut album, Con los Pies en el Barrio, released in 2005, marked their entry into the music scene. In 2007, they followed up with Afrorumba Chilenera, which solidified their unique sound and led to performances at major festivals like Huaso de Olmué and Viña del Mar in 2008 and again in 2011. Juana Fe continued to release albums including La Makinita (2010), Parrilladas Vargas (2015), and its sequel in 2019, showcasing their evolving style and cultural impact.
