Biography

In 1998, songwriter Josh Rouse dedicated the subject of his debut album Dressed Up Like Nebraska to his homeland. He quickly established himself as one of the leading figures in American folk- and country-inspired alternative rock, with albums such as 1972, released in 2003 and recorded entirely on analog equipment, and Nashville, released in 2005. Now based in Spain, he renews his inspiration with the albums Subtitulo (2006) and Country Mouse City House (2007), and appropriates the local language on El Turista (2010). In 2011, he once again showcases his delicate songwriting on Josh Rouse and the Long Vacations. His next album, The Embers of Time (2015), expresses the same nostalgic sentiments.
