Biography
John Galea is a British songwriter, musician and performer, born in Great Yarmouth (Norfolk). Best known for his collaborations with Beluga Heights, The Monarch, Frankmusik and Rodney Jerkins, he emerged as a solo artist in 2012 with the EP The Scrapbook and the single "Golddiggin" . Trained as a pianist, he alternates acoustic and electronic sounds in his own productions, including the EPs Under Attack (2013), Notes from My Piano (2014), Missing Pages (2016) and Christmas Round the Piano (2018). As his notoriety grew on platforms with the viral success of the single "A Simple Christmas", John Galea continued to compose for other artists, releasing the track "Hero Within You" in 2020. In 2024, he released The Art of Collaboration EP, featuring contributions from Nate James, Ironik, Maya Miko, Scorcher, TJ Dreamz and Hannah Long, followed by the single "Songwriter", which charted in the UK (No. 33 singles and No. 31 downloads).
