Biography

Born on 10 June 1989 in Camden, London, DJ, producer, and reality TV star Joel Corry rose to fame in 2012 as a cast member of the hit UK reality TV show Georgie Shore. He dropped into the show again in 2017 but not before launching his music career, unleashing his first two house-flavoured singles in 2015: "Back Again" and "Light Up." He returned two years later with a string of similarly bass-boosted cuts, "Just Wanna," "All the Things," "All Night," "Sunlight" and "Feel This Way," which drew on the UK garage of his upbringing. Another run of singles emerged in 2018: "Hurt," "All I Need," "Only You," "Good as Gold," and "Fallen," recruiting Hayley May for the latter two and teaming up with the UK vocalist again for 2019 hit "Sorry." He cemented his love of garage further with "Sorry," a tropical house remake of Monsta Boy's 2000 UKG hit "Sorry (I Didn't Know)," which gave him his first Top 10 UK hit, with the track peaking at number six. This was largely thanks to its inclusion on the phenomenally successful ITV2 reality show Love Island. He moved to number four with "Lonely," also released in 2019, before striking gold the following year with MNEK collaboration "Head & Heart," which rocketed to the top of the UK singles chart where it hung around for six weeks. The single contained on 2021's Four to the Floor EP. It also broke the record as being the most searched song on Shazam in a single day. Now an international star, for Joel Corry's next move he joined forces with David Guetta and Raye, whose Top five "Bed" single in 2021 gave fans the first taste of his debut album, Another Friday Night, and kicked off a further slew of hit collabs: "Out Out" with Jax Jones, Charli XCX and Saweetie (number 6) and “I Wish” with Mabel (number 17). In 2022, he cracked the Top 20 with the Tom Grennan-assisted single "Lionheart (Fearless)" and won the awards for Most Performed Dance/Electronic Work and Most Performed Australian Work for "Head & Heart" at the 2022 APRA Music Awards. In 2023, he unveiled his full-length studio album, Another Friday Night, supported by singles that included "Dance Around It" with Caity Baser and "Desire" with Icona Pop and Rain Radio.
