Biography

Kim Jinâil, known professionally as Jerry.K, was born in Seoul on Januaryâ¯26,â¯1984. A rapper and DJ, Jerry.K emerged in the Seoul underground scene, first gaining attention as part of the duo Loquence with Makesense. Jerry.K released his debut EP Ilgal in 2006 and followed with the solo album The Devil on Julyâ¯2,â¯2008 under Soul Company. After later signing with his own label Daze Alive, he issued True Self on Decemberâ¯14,â¯2012, íì¤, ì on Septemberâ¯23,â¯2014, Emotional labor on Marchâ¯15,â¯2016, OVRWRT on Novemberâ¯28,â¯2017, and RED QUEEN THEORY on Septemberâ¯26,â¯2019. His 2018 single "First Snow" added a melodic dimension to his catalog. Jerry.K died of glioblastoma on Aprilâ¯27,â¯2026, at 42, leaving a legacy in Korean hipâhop.
