Dave Davies, known professionally as Jeep Beat Collective, is a British rapper and DJ from the United Kingdom. He began his career in hip-hop music, gaining recognition for his distinctive style that heavily emphasized scratching. His breakthrough came with the release of Attack of the Wildstyle Beatfreaks in 1995. Subsequent albums include Technics Chainsaw Massacre and For Jimi Hendrix, both in 1998, and Death Race 2001 in 2001. In addition to his solo work, he also recorded under the names Mindbomb, Godfather of Weird, and Dave the Ruf. Davies was recognized by Spin magazine in 1999 as one of the Top 13 turntablists worldwide. He also founded the Ruf Beats record label.
