Biography

Jennifer Chan (June 23, 1998), simply known as JC, is a Cantopop singer from Hong Kong. She began singing during her teenage years while studying at St. Francis of Canossian College and participated in several competitions before signing with the label Amusic. Her first single for the label, “It's Been Apart,” came out in 2016 and quickly became one of the Top 10 trending videos on streaming platforms. It was also used as the theme song for the Singaporean drama Doppelganger. That same year, JC performed her debut single opening for Leon Lai and was invited to sing on HunanTV’s New Year Concert alongside Bai Jingting, Bibi Zhou, and Yoyo Sham. She followed up with the single “Please Break Up,” a cover of Canto-rock singer Candy Lo, and “Don’t Say,” a song based on Yisa Yu’s “Time Is Right.” In 2017, JC returned with the Mandarin track “Current Friend” and, a year later, issued the single “Don’t Sweet Talk Me” in Cantonese. Her studio debut, Album 1, saw the light in 2019.
